ON THE TOOLS ANNOUNCES BAND OF BUILDERS AS OFFICIAL CHARITY PARTNER

On The Tools, the largest online construction community in the UK, has announced Band of Builders as their charity partner for 2022.

Band of Builders is a national construction charity providing support to members of the UK construction industry facing life changing or limiting circumstances. On The Tools (www.onthetools.tv) has worked with the charity since its inception in 2016, and through the official partnership will support Band of Builders by raising awareness and driving volunteers through its 6 million strong community of tradespeople, as well as supporting fundraising and donating a percentage of sales from their latest NFT community project.

Lee Wilcox, CEO and Co-founder of On The Tools said:

“I’m thrilled to formalise and shout about our partnership with Band of Builders. We’ve been involved with BoB for many years and we’re delighted to be able to support them in having such a positive impact on the industry. The charity is a natural fit for us because On The Tools champions UK tradespeople, and Band of Builders supports them when they are in need.

The work that Band of Builders undertakes for tradespeople and their families is incredible; we’re excited to help drive even more awareness and support for the work they do so they can continue their mission of providing financial and emotional support to tradespeople in need.”

As part of the partnership, On The Tools have also pledged to donate 5% of all proceeds raised through the launch of their new NFT community to Band of Builders, which will be used to help tradespeople and their families that face life changing or limiting conditions with practical assistance. The NFT project ‘Tradies’ aims to onboard tradespeople into the world of web3 ensuring they get the most value from it, and are not left behind.

Gavin Crane, CEO for Band of Builders commented:

“Our mission is to support tradespeople and their families when they’re in need, and we’re delighted to have the support of On The Tools as a charity partner to help us in funding further projects. We rely on tradespeople giving their time and energy to help others, and the content that On The Tools has provided for us has helped raise awareness of our cause to the trade community, as well as helping recruit support for projects.

We’re also excited to benefit from new On The Tools initiatives such as ‘Tradies NFT’; utilising space on the Tradies Discord server to be able to have direct conversations with tradespeople, appealing for volunteers and sharing project updates.

On The Tools have also pledged to donate 5% of all proceeds raised through the launch of their new community to Band of Builders, which we will use to help tradespeople and their families facing life-changing or limiting conditions with practical assistance.”

A key focus of the charity partnership will see On The Tools promoting the Band of Builders projects to their 6 million strong online community of tradespeople. The latest project covered by On The Tools was ‘Kyle’s Project’. Kyle, a multi-trade from Hertfordshire, had himself previously volunteered for the charity before suffering a grand mal seizure and diagnosis of an aggressive form of brain cancer which has subsequently left him unable to work. The project team completely renovated his property to improve his quality of life.

Through providing coverage and raising awareness of projects such as these, On The Tools hopes to aid Band of Builders in attracting more volunteers and donations to continue supporting UK tradespeople.
